THYME HONEY
Thyme is especially loved by bees, it is the plant from which bees make the most famous honey, thyme honey. It is excellent quality honey, light in color and aromatic. Its production amounts to approximately 10% of the total honey production of Greece.
In medicine it is known as the plant with the most healing properties. It is recommended for stomach and intestinal problems, to relieve coughs, colic and flu, to stimulate the nervous system and as a sedative. It also gives mental clarity and stimulates the nerves. It is used in cooking and flavoring food. Stomatitis and irritated tonsils are treated with gargles because thyme honey has antiseptic properties.
