FIR HONEY
Fir honey stands out for its characteristic appearance, it is particularly thick. It is estimated that approximately 5-10% of the honey produced in Greece is fir and comes mainly from mountainous areas.
This particular type of honey is distinguished by its particularly good taste and does not present a strong aroma.
Its color varies according to its region of origin. In general, fir honey has a strong honey color, darker in some areas and lighter in others.
Due to the low percentage of glucose, it does not crystallize, while it is rich in trace elements (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, etc.). It contains vitamins in very small amounts, but even this small amount helps to better assimilate sugars by the human body. Fir honey is good for the stomach and intestines.
